We have a non-smoking policy on our patio at my restaurant. A lady at my table starts smoking a cigarette. I ask her kindly to put it out and then she blows smoke in my face. Her, “Where you want me to put it? Stick out your hand or something.”I was pissed! I grabbed the cigarette and put it out in her ranch. What an ignorant bitch.

I can’t stand the smell of decades of stale cigarettes emitting from someone’s body. It’s beyond disgusting. If their body smells like that, I can only imagine what their house and/or car smells like.

I used to work in an office with a chain smoker. The arrogant attitude you describe is one of the many reasons smokers became persona non gratis starting in the mid 1970’s. Unfortunately, many doctors in the 1930’s and 40’s recommended that women start smoking for their health. Yes, you read that right. If you look at movies from that era, it was considered good manners for a man to light a woman’s cigarette.

Smokers ruled until the 1970’s. The rest of us were ecstatic when laws against smoking in restaurants and at work were passed. Most people under 40 never had the displeasure of paying for an expensive meal just to have it ruined when the guy next to them lit up a cigar.

God, that makes me feel good all over.
